He is probably best known for his theory of Natural Selection and his published works, The Origin of Species (1859) and The Descent of Man (1871). His voyage on the H.M.S. Beagle brought him to the Galapagos Islands where he saw first-hand the effects of variation and adaptation. If you are a fan of Darwin and his work, please join!
